                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE AMNICOLA
                   HIGHWAY/RIVERSIDE DRIVE, DOWNTOWN AND NORTH
                   CHATTANOOGA AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 1992 FROM
                   7:30 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M. FOR THE "SPORTS BARN
                   TRIATHLON" SPONSORED BY THE SPORTS BARN
                   UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the westbound/southbound lane of Amnicola
       Highway nearest the north/west shoulder from Kings Point Road to
       Riverside Drive, the southbound lane of Riverside Drive nearest
       the west shoulder from Amnicola Highway to Chestnut Street, the
       southbound curblane of Chestnut Street from Riverside Drive to 
4th
       Street, the eastbound curblane of 4th Street between Chestnut
       Street and Market Street, the northbound curblane of Market 
Street
       between 4th Street and Frazier Avenue, the eastbound curblane of
       Frazier Avenue between Market Street and the Veterans Bridge 
Ramp,
       the Veteran's Bridge Ramp between Frazier Avenue and the 
Veteran's
       Bridge, the southbound curblane of the Veteran's Bridge between
       the Frazier Avenue Ramp and 4th Street, the southbound west
       curblane of Georgia Avenue between 4th Street and Vine Street, 
the
       right-hand eastbound lane of Vine Street between Georgia Avenue
       and Houston Street, the right-hand northbound lane of Houston
       Street between Vine Street and Oak Street, the westbound lane of
       Oak Street between Houston Street and Georgia Avenue, the
       right-hand southbound curblane of Georgia Avenue between Oak
       Street and M.L. King Boulevard, the westbound curblane of M.L.
       King Boulevard between Georgia Avenue and Market Street, and the
       northbound curblane of Market Street between M.L. King Boulevard
       and 4th Street on Sunday, September 6, 1992 from 7:30 a.m. to
       11:30 a.m. for the "Sports Barn Triathlon" sponsored by the 
Sports
       Barn provided that the sponsor shall set out traffic cones,
       flasher barricades and warning signs in accordance with the
       traffic control plan attached hereto and shall provide, at all
       times, an access lane for emergency vehicles.
